What To Do With Your Spiritual Gift

Watch "What To Do With Your Spiritual Gift" By Greg Sidders
White Pine Community Church August 27, 2017

Imagine standing before God and hearing Him say, "Now, let's talk about the spiritual gift I gave you...." Do you smile or shudder when you think about what He would say next?

We'll study together those passages of Scripture that tell us how to use our gifts in ways that please the One to whom we are accountable.

Those Controversial Gifts

Watch "Those Controversial Gifts" By Greg Sidders
White Pine Community Church August 20, 2017

No series on spiritual gifts would be complete without a message on which gifts should be left off the list.

Everyone agrees that gifts like encouragement, service and mercy are still being given by the Spirit of God, but what about tongues? Prophecy? Healing? If you've heard of these gifts, I'll bet you have an opinion about whether they have a place in the church today.  But is your opinion biblical?

This Sunday at White Pine, I'll do my best to explain why different Christians believe different things about these gifts--hopefully in a way that will help you refine your opinion through the filter of Scripture.

Watch "Superpowers" By Greg Sidders
White Pine Community Church August 13, 2017

 What's your superpower?

I know you're no superhero, but if you are a Jesus-follower, you are supernaturally gifted. I hope to help you discover the gift God has implanted in you and how to best use it to channel His love and power.

Unsung Heroes

Watch "Unsung Heroes" By Greg Sidders
White Pine Community Church August 6, 2017

There's a reason why athletes and actors thank all those people you've never heard of when they win an award. It's because they know that without a behind-the-scenes team, they would never achieve the success that makes them famous. They are merely the tip of an iceberg of talent.

Christ's church has that same mix of center-stage and backstage people who together accomplish what no one could accomplish alone. We are going to pull back the curtain and celebrate those unsung heroes who give so much of themselves to help others find and follow Jesus.
